Brigitte Burnett is a macroeconomist and sustainable development analyst currently working at the Energy Authority Suriname, the electricity regulator of Suriname. Her position is Head Economic Regulation and Supervision. Through various previous positions she has accumulated a 15 years’ experience of the macroeconomic and social economic aspects of the energy sector in Suriname. Working for the electricity regulator now adds economic regulation within energy policy to her professional experience of the sector. Brigitte Burnett holds a Master of Science in Education and Research for Sustainable Development and a Doctorandus degree in Economics.
