Claire Best is the Chief Project Analyst in the Research Unit of the Energy Division in the Ministry of Energy and Business. She brings to the panel her experience in the Energy Division in various positions including Senior Economist and Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist. She is analytical by nature, with a background in Disaster Risk Management, Climate Change Governance, Economics and Management. Her interest in matters relating to Energy are varied and include professional training in petroleum policy and natural resources management; utility regulation and strategy; grid modelling and energy statistics. She has a keen interest in matters relating to the democratization of energy and sees the implementation of a Regulated Local Content Development Programme as a critical hinge-pin to the sector’s overall development.
