Dr. Vernon Paltoo is the President of the National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (National Energy). Since 2013, Dr. Paltoo has led the company's mission to develop and facilitate sustainable energy industries. He has a rich history at National Energy, starting in 2004, and has held various roles, including Vice President of Operations and Team Leader for Business Development. His extensive experience supports the transformation of the company and, consequently, the country towards low-carbon energy strategies and industries.

Additionally, Dr. Paltoo oversees the promotion of energy services for export in Trinidad and Tobago, with the goal of expanding the country's global impact. He actively participates in shaping regional and international discussions on energy industry development, decarbonization, green hydrogen, and energy transition.

Dr. Paltoo holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and a B.Sc. in Chemical and Process Engineering.
