The Barbados Association of Professional Engineers
The Barbados Association of Professional Engineers (BAPE) is the formal professional body that represents the Engineering Profession and engineering in Barbados.
Established in October 1964, the objective was to develop the engineering profession in Barbados with a focus on safeguarding the life, health and welfare of the public by restricting the practice of engineering to properly qualified persons.
BAPE also promotes the establishment and observance of high ethical standards of conduct among engineers, lobbies government to adopt critical international codes and standards, and seeks to encourage our best students to enter the engineering profession.
BAPE’s membership ranges from Fellows to Students and covers all engineering disciplines.
